Quito, Aug 3 (Prensa Latina) Ecuador indigenous sectors get ready to march against the Government of the Citizen Revolution and President Rafael Correa, who continues today his call for national dialogue for a more just and equitable Ecuador.
A section of the Confederation of Indigenous Nationalities of Ecuador began on Sunday a long walk to protest against some initiatives of Correa.
According to the called of the opposition, the group will meet in El Pangui, Amazonian province of Zamora Chinchipe, to reach the capital of the province, then to Loja and will end on August 13 in Quito with a national strike.
In this respect the president predicted that the strike is not going to have majority support and although they have the right to march it is not their right to paralyze the country and damage the public property.
Facing such provocation we have to respond with more work and happiness. Against what they are protesting if there is more health and education for those who were forgotten years ago, by oligarchies, reflected Correa.
But the pacifist idea of Correa and his call for dialogue did not stop the protests, which have now decreased in strength and number.
Regarding this situation the president insisted that this tactic is part of the strategy of warming on the streets, and say that everything is wrong to take away the joy and optimism, which will not happen.
