Gaza, Aug 9 (Prensa Latina) Israeli planes attacked the Nuseirat refugee camp in the Gaza Strip  injuring four people, according to reports from medical sources.

This Palestinian territory has been blockaded by Israel for eight years and air and ground attacks are common, the most serious ones were carried out last summer and lasted nearly two months, during which 2,500 civilians, mostly women and children, were killed, and 11,000 were injured, while 110,000 were homeless.

On Friday, an Israeli army spokesman said that an unpopulated area in the south of the country was the target of homemade rockets fired from southern Gaza. No damage was caused. The report has no independent confirmation.

Those wounded during the air raid were taken to hospitals, but their condition is unknown.
