Moscow, Aug 14 (Prensa Latina) A convoy of more than a hundred trucks of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations crossed today the border into Ukraine with more humanitarian aid for the people of Donbass.
According to ministry sources, the convoy went smoothly through the customs controls at the border points of 'Donetsk' and 'Matveev Kurgan', in the southern region of Rostov.
The thirty-fifth humanitarian convoy since August 2014 transported food and medicine, fundamentally, to Donetsk and Lugansk. The shipment was formed from donations from social organizations and unions in different regions of the Russian Federation.
Once in Ukrainian territory, the convoy was divided into two columns, and each headed separately into the aforementioned territories, according to the civil defense.
Since the access of aid was allowed in mid-August 2014, amid bombings and the deteriorating humanitarian situation, the Russian Ministry transported to these regions of the Ukrainian southeast, blocked by Kiev, more than 42 thousand tons of basic products.
