Trump Heading the Republican Party Preference

índiceWashington, Sep 10 (Prensa Latina) Bussinesman Donald Trump and retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson are heading the block of 17 Republican Party presidential candidates for the elections in 2016, showed today a survey.
A poll by Public Policy Polling (PPP) found that in South Caroline, an early-voting state, the tycoon is supported by 37 percent of voters, followed by Carson with 21 percent.

The remaining Republican contenders reach single digits, including the former governor of Florida Jeb Bush and Texas Senator Ted Cruz, with six percent, then businesswoman Carly Fiorina, Gov. John Kasich of Ohio and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio with four percent each.

Trump prevalence in the polls since July, creates a strong concern in the Republican ranks, the media and political analysis expressed.

Despite signing a pledge not to run an independent candidate, the current leader does not have the support of the party elite, which could determine in shaping the ballot for the elections of 2016.

According to an article published by The New York Times, his chances will depend on the isu of his celebrity, media skills and self-financing, which would prevent him from being easily marginalized.
