Caracas, Jun 29 (Prensa Latina) Leaders of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) described today as a victory the primary elections of that organization, after the publication of the list of candidates to the Parliament who won in elections. From his Twitter account, the President of the PSUV and the country, Nicolas Maduro, cataloged this voting as a success of the Bolivarian Revolution and an example of loyalty, because more than 3,162 people voted.

As a result of the great participation, the National Electoral Council (CNE) extended until after 21:00 local hour the closure of the polling stations, initially scheduled for 18:00 local time.

Maduro expressed gratitude to the participants in his messages, which were not only PSUV members.

The socialist primary elections were the first internal elections of a Venezuelan party in which all registered in the country's electoral register were allowed to vote.
