afganistan pakistanNew Delhi, Sep 18 (Prensa Latina) India today accused Pakistan of attacking its troops deployed along the Line of Control (LoC), which resulted in another exchange of fire between the two forces.
Pakistani soldiers fired automatic weapons and mortars at our outposts located in Poonch district, said a spokesman for the Indian defense ministry quoted by national media.

According to New Delhi, this month the army of the neighboring country violated 21 times the ceasefire on the LoC.

So far Islamabad has not reacted to the new clash, but it typically blames the Indian soldiers for starting the clash.

Yesterday a Pakistani ranger died in another exchange of fire along the Line of Control.

Last week military delegations from both countries exchanged proposals in this capital to end border clashes and fight terrorism.

Although the appointment was considered to be positive and a step forward in bilateral relations, the recent confrontation leaves room for doubt about its effectiveness, media agree.
