Buenos Aires, Sep 21 (Prensa Latina) President Cristina Fernandez who returned today to Argentine after visiting Cuba, Saturday and Sunday, highlighted the mass of Pope Francis in Havana,'' make me think in the concept the Homeland is the other one.''
The considerations of the president on her visit, meeting with the Pope and meetings with her Cuban counterpart, Raul Castro, who honored her with a banquet and the historic leader of the revolution, Fidel Castro appear today in varios media.
Among other considerations, the Supreme Pontiff in the Sunday homily said that who does not live to serve, not serve to live, and urged the Cuban people and State to continue their solidarity vocation and the island continues being a place of meetings, dialogue and peace.
He also called for the continuation of peace talks in Colombia and to use the power of words to resolve conflicts as well as the reconciliation and solidarity as a practice of life and help the most vulnerable.
'I really liked his words: it was a very interesting sermon "because it talks about the vulnerable and the poor and that no one can be Christian if does not consider it,' stated the president in conversation with special Envoys of the Argentinean media who accompanied her on the trip.
She commented that the idea of the monument to Eva Peron located in the building of the Ministry of Social Development in Buenos Aires, was taken from the first time she visited Cuba, when she saw the figure of Che at the Revolution Square.'
'One thing was seeing him in photography and another thing was to see him there, and I said why not make the same honor to Evita?.'
'Being there in that square with the pope and Raul (Castro) sitting beside me, with Che watching us, Camilo Cienfuegos, too, was very strong, because it's all linked to our history, "she stated.
'I think the story is taking its course, which is often unpredictable, that rewards many and makes others angry, but what is history, that is so: one can understand it or try to decode it but never get angry with it, she assured.
'I wonder what has the Pope feel, an Argentinean offering a Mass and appreciating Raul Castro for the work developed in the country for the rapprochement between the Colombian government and FARC in the long-awaited peace process.
'Plus the performance of Cuba with United States' for the restoration of Diplomatic relations: 'I don't get bore to tell the Cuban people that it is a well deserved victory and that the victory was won dearly, "stressed the President.
'There are no blockades and walls that can last more than 10 years, and I think the story finally ends up wiping out all those artificial borders created by narrow interests to isolate peoples", noted the president.
