Brussels, Oct 1 (Prensa Latina) The Ministers of Competitiveness and Industry of the European Union (EU) examine today in this city the scandal of diesel motor vehicles of German manufacturer Volkswagen.
Those alterations looked to change its data on emission of polluting gases.

The ministers debate this issue in the framework of a EU Council of Competitiveness in Luxemburg, in which the topic was not included in the meeting's agenda, informed community sources.

At the meeting will be present for Spain the Minister of Industry, Energy and Tourism, Jose Manuel Soria,k who affirmed he will ask the EU the expansion of motor vehicles inspections, following the model that is applied in the United States.

The European Commission (EC) invited member states to carry out a national investigation to submit a complete report on this issue to Brussels.
